At Food Republic, we love spending a beautiful Fall day at the local orchard – watching the changing of the leaves, hiking, and of course, apple picking! Autumn is the season for apples, so go out and pick your own then make, what else? Good old American apple pie!
The best thing about apple pie is that you don’t need a lot of skill (though it always helps!) or equipment. You can really get by with just a pie pan and a sharp knife and fork (or for the perfectionists out there, invest in an apple corer). Then, after about an hour, break out a shiny pie server and dish out the delicious results!
