True, layering is every Fashionista’s favorite way to stay stylish and warm. But another slightly easier alternative? The scarf. From elegant pashminas to nubby knits, there are just so many options to choose from! And while we love them ALL, this Fall, we are particularly crushing on styles with shimmer, sequins or any type sparkly effect. Check out these ideas for tying our top picks of the season:

Slip Knot

Start with a long, rectangular wrap — we like this fringed, mixed-print one with flecked metallic detail — and fold it in half by bringing both ends together. Wrap around your neck placing the “loop” on one side and the ends on the other. Slip the ends through the loop and gently pull ‘til desired length. Voilà! Insta-chic.

Double Up

This double-knotted look is done best with the classic wrap style. Position the scarf with the mid-point behind your neck. Take both ends and wrap once around your neck, pull the ends up to the front and loosely tie — or leave them loose — either way, you’ll look breezily chic. Tip: This is a great add-on for formal events during chilly weather.

Wrap it up

An updated take on the classic cable knit scarf is the perfect mix of uptown girl and downtown glam. Simply wrap it around your neck once or twice and tuck in any loose ends. We especially love this style layered over a leather moto-jacket (just a suggestion).

No-Brainer

Infinity scarves are pretty much foolproof. Just slip one on overhead and you’re good to go. Feeling adventurous? Double up. This one from Calvin Klein comes in four basic shades that make it hard to pick just one…black, beige, gray and – the winning pick – cream!
