Read on to learn exactly which lippies you should be stocking your beauty bag with… hint: it’s all of them!

Types of lipstick

1. Matte Lipstick
For those who love a shine-free look, matte lipsticks create a suede-like finish in deep and dramatic shades. Too avoid over-drying, use with a product that also hydrates lips.

2. Sheer Lipstick
When you want a barely-there hint of color, sheer lipsticks are perfect for everyday wear. Apply instead of lip balm to moisturize and enhance your natural shade.

3. Lip Crayon
Thanks to a thin tip, lip crayons help you contour a full-looking lip. Line just along the outside of lips and fill in for intense and creamy color.

4. Lip Oil
For a product that promises to treat and transform dry and damaged lips and apply a hint of color, stock up on lip oil. Natural ingredients hydrate, smooth and shine all at once.

5. Lip Gloss
While glosses can come in sparkly, sheer and pigmented varieties, they always deliver a high dose of shine. You can even create your own custom lip look by applying gloss over a traditional lipstick.

6. Cream Lipstick
The most classic lipstick type, a cream formula is somewhere in between matte and gloss. Best worn with lip liner to prevent bleeding, cream lipsticks are often highly pigmented with a dewy finish.
