With so many fetes and festive events around the corner, there’s no better time to turn up the sparkle level on your beauty look. Below, we’re breaking down how to create holiday makeup perfection with just the right amount of glitter. Who’s ready to shine?

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Translation: Break out your sparkliest eyeshadows! We’re obsessed with all the glittery shades in the new Urban Decay Moondust palette and the metallic liquid eyeshadows that can double as eyeliners. Don’t forget the essentials like a dark eyeliner and mascara, berry lipstick and an eyeshadow brush.

Use your fingertips to apply glittery gold eyeshadow on your lid, from lashline to crease. Keep layering depending on how much you want your look to shimmer.

Apply a metallic liquid liner (we used red) to your upper lashline. Add a little flick at the end that extends just past your eye.

With a light sparkly shade, highlight from the inner corner of your eye up to about a third of the way through your crease

Next, choose a contrasting color from your palette (we love a glittery green) and apply with a brush along your lower lashline.

Apply a dark eyeliner to your lower waterline and a few coats of black mascara.

Finish your look with a few swipes of your favorite berry lipstick. Then, top with a thin layer of sparkly eyeshadow for a dazzling effect.
